Check out what Heather Knight is doing over at Element Studio in Asheville North Carolina. She makes these gorgeous ceramic tiles and sculptures. The tiles are about 8×8 and sell for about $150 and the spiked pears go for about $195.

“I find my inspiration in all aspects of nature. My goal is to make work that reflects my touch and recalls the complexity and beauty found in the natural world.”Heather Knight

These amazing prints can be found at yellena’s etsy shop. They are about 8.5×11 and start at only $20!

Also featured on Design Sponge. I couldn’t help also posting on this artist.

I really got sucked in to her amazing story. She Lives in Oregon now with her musician husband and two cats. She was born in Sarajevo and lived there until 1995, when the civil war ended. Living in Sarajevo during the war she actually had to sneak past snipers to attend a high school for the arts. After receiving her BA in graphic design she made her way out west.

Lucky us.

I was digging through Etsy looking for someone who does logos and custom stationary. I couldn’t stop looking at all of the beautiful little things in her shop. This woman does it all. Custom stationary, photography, Oil Paintings, Silk screening. Michelle Brusegaard

I stumbled on this restaurant on a whim. I was intrigued by the use of steel conduit as the feature design element. As I stared through the glass window mesmerized they were very glad to open the door and give me a tour even though they were not even open for the evening. This is officially on my list for the next restaurant to try. They serve a fusion of American, French and Italian. Definitely worth checking out for the design alone.

This month Domino did shopping guide on San Francisco, which I must say was really good. There were even a few places I have yet to discover. As a Bay Area native I felt like they missed one of the best new shops in the Mission. This little shop is right off Valencia on 16th street. Owned by Sasha Wingate. You can find mix of new and vintage clothing and curiosities. Anything from vintage pillows, letterpress stationary, milk glass or amazing smelling candles.
